A Memorable Encounter with Prof. Min-Yuan Cheng: A Day Filled with Ideas, Learning & Inspiration

It was a meaningful and fulfilling moment for me as I had the opportunity to welcome Professor Dr. Min-Yuan Cheng to UTHM under our Visiting Professor Program. Standing beside him in the photo may look like a simple snapshot, but to me. it captures an experience that I truly value as an academic, colleague, and lifelong learner.

Prof. Cheng is a respected scholar in construction project management and BIM-based digital construction. Having him here feels like a door opening: a door to ideas, conversations and collaborations that have the potential to grow into something much bigger for our faculty, our students and even our research community.

As we spoke, I was reminded why I love being in academia: the joy of exchanging knowledge, the excitement of new possibilities, and the privilege of learning from brilliant minds across the world. Moments like this fuel my motivation to continue pushing forward, especially in my own research journey in BIM, sustainable construction materials, environmental management, dredged sediment utilization, PKS/RHA/POFA concrete innovation and bibliometric/scientometric research development.

What This Collaboration Means to Me

This visit is more than a program : it is a connection.
A bridge between expertise, experiences, and aspirations.

Working with Prof. Cheng opens up opportunities for:

✨ Joint research publications
✨ Collaborative grant applications
✨ Guest lectures & workshops for our students
✨ BIM & construction technology knowledge transfer
✨ Broader international networking & visibility

My Hope Moving Forward

I hope this marks the beginning of a long-term academic friendship.
I look forward to exploring research ideas together, building impactful work, and connecting our students to global academic exposure.

For those who share similar interests, in construction management, BIM, sustainability, or scientometric research, I warmly welcome future collaborations. Let’s exchange ideas, co-author papers, run workshops, or even create training programs that empower the industry and the next generation.

If our paths align, let’s build something meaningful together.
Feel free to reach out, I’m always open to discuss potential projects, joint publications, or networking opportunities.

Thank you once again, Prof. Min-Yuan Cheng, for the inspiring discussion.
May this just be the start, insyaAllah, of greater things to come.
