My experience during Summer School at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology surely tops any experience that I collected over the years.
Back then, I habituated writing everything that I experienced during my academic journey in my blog. I picked this journey to be shared with you in this book because it has been a life-changing experience for me.
Not everyone could have tasted this kind of experience. I am one of the lucky ones who do. Thus, I shared my experience in this book, in a hope that someone in a remote village could have a dream too, just like me.
This once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be selected as a participant in a summer school at the top university of the world was a chance not to be missed. This event took place ten years ago, but it still feels like it happened yesterday.
I came from a village located in Bahau, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia. I am a daughter of a rubber tapper and a ‘nasi lemak’ seller. Who could have thought that I would set foot at this top university of the world?
Perseverance and hard work really paid off.
So, this is my story, a ‘kampung’ girl from ‘suku Seri Lemak Pahang’ taken on an adventure into the world of geniuses. I hope you enjoy reading this book.
