Confession of an introvert: Self-discovery journey towards collaborating with others

RM12.50

I came from a village located in Bahau, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia. I am a daughter of a rubber tapper and a ‘nasi lemak’ seller. I am also an introvert. Who could have thought that I would set foot at a top university in the world?  Perseverance and hard work really paid off. So, this is my story, a village girl from the clan of ‘Seri Lemak Pahang’, that has taken on an adventure into the world of geniuses. My experience in Summer School at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T.), United States surely tops any experience that I collected over the years.  Back then, I write everything during my academic journey in my blog entitled Bittersweet Memories. I picked this journey to be shared with you in this book because it has been a life-changing experience for me. This once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be selected as a participant in a summer school at the top university of the world was a chance not to be missed.  This event took place ten years ago, but it still feels like it happened yesterday. Not everyone could have tasted this kind of experience. I am one of the lucky ones who do. Thus, I shared my experience in this book, in a hope that someone could have a dream and continue to embark on self-discovery journeys too, just like me.
