Saya berpeluang membentangkan hasil penyelidikan PhD saya di International Research and Innovation Symposium Exhibition 2026 (RISE 2026), UTHM dengan tajuk:
“Kerangka Kerja Membuat Keputusan Berasaskan Risiko bagi Pemilihan Kaedah Pengorekan Sedimen.”
Penyelidikan ini merupakan kesinambungan daripada perjalanan PhD saya di Imperial College London dalam bidang pengorekan, pengurusan sedimen, penilaian risiko alam sekitar dan pembangunan rangka kerja membuat keputusan secara lestari.
Kajian ini memberi tumpuan kepada pembangunan satu kerangka kerja bersepadu yang menggabungkan penilaian risiko alam sekitar, pemetaan geografi, analisis pelbagai kriteria dan pendekatan kelestarian bagi membantu pemilihan kaedah pengorekan sedimen yang lebih berkesan, selamat dan mampan.
Alhamdulillah, penyelidikan ini telah menerima Pingat Emas di RISE 2026.
Bagi saya, pencapaian ini bukan sekadar tentang anugerah, tetapi tentang usaha membawa hasil penyelidikan PhD kepada impak sebenar, khususnya dalam membantu pengurusan sungai, pelabuhan, kawasan pesisir dan projek infrastruktur marin dengan pendekatan yang lebih berasaskan bukti, risiko dan kelestarian.
Semoga pencapaian ini membuka lebih banyak ruang kerjasama bersama pihak industri, agensi kerajaan, pihak berkuasa pelabuhan, komuniti akademik dan pembuat dasar dalam bidang pengorekan lestari serta pengurusan sedimen.

I had the opportunity to present my PhD research at the International Research and Innovation Symposium Exhibition 2026 (RISE 2026), UTHM with the title:
“Risk-Based Decision-Making Framework for the Selection of Sediment Dredging Option.”
This research is part of my PhD journey at Imperial College London, focusing on dredging, sediment management, environmental risk assessment and sustainable decision-making.
The study proposes an integrated framework that combines environmental risk assessment, geographic information system mapping, multi-criteria analysis and sustainability considerations to support better decision-making in selecting sustainable sediment dredging options.
Alhamdulillah, this research was awarded the Gold Award at RISE 2026.
For me, this achievement is not only about receiving an award. It is about bringing PhD research closer to real-world impact, especially in supporting better management of rivers, ports, coastal areas and marine infrastructure projects through evidence-based, risk-informed and sustainable approaches.
I hope this achievement will open more opportunities for collaboration with industry players, government agencies, port authorities, academic communities and policymakers in the area of sustainable dredging and sediment management.
