Pemetaan 70 Tahun Penyelidikan Pengurusan Pembinaan
Bidang Pengurusan Pembinaan telah berkembang dengan pesat sejak beberapa dekad yang lalu. Dalam artikel saya yang diterbitkan dalam International Journal of Construction Management:
Manap, N. & Cheng, M.Y. (2026). Seventy years of construction management research (1954–2026): a global scientometric and bibliometric review of trends, gaps and future directions.
- Health, training and academia
- Education, workforce and project delays
- Digitalization, algorithms and risk
- Environmental management and testing
- Structural elements and load performance
- Materials and sustainable concrete
Pemetaan ini menunjukkan bahawa penyelidikan pengurusan pembinaan berkembang secara multidisiplin, melibatkan pengurusan projek, pembangunan tenaga kerja, teknologi digital, kelestarian alam sekitar serta inovasi bahan binaan.

The field of Construction Management (CM) has evolved significantly over the past decades. In my article published in the International Journal of Construction Management:
Manap, N. & Cheng, M.Y.(2026). Seventy years of construction management research (1954–2026): a global scientometric and bibliometric review of trends, gaps and future directions.
I conducted a scientometric and bibliometric analysis to examine the structure and evolution of global Construction Management research.
Figure 3 presents a keyword co-occurrence network that maps the main research themes within the field.
The analysis reveals six major thematic clusters in Construction Management research from 1954 to 2026:
- Health, training and academia
- Education, workforce and project delays
- Digitalization, algorithms and risk
- Environmental management and testing
- Structural elements and load performance
- Materials and sustainable concrete
The mapping highlights the multidisciplinary nature of Construction Management research, spanning project management, workforce development, digital technologies, environmental sustainability and construction materials.
To support knowledge dissemination, the publisher has provided 50 free eprints of the article.
